How to hire an AI video creator: write a five-line brief
THE QUICK ANSWER
What should a first AI video project brief include?
Describe the result you need, the references the creator should follow, the delivery format, the deadline and the revision scope. Specify the finished asset rather than only naming an AI tool. A short, concrete brief gives both people something they can review before work begins.
Ask for a result you can recognise
“Make me something with Higgsfield” names a tool but leaves the actual job open. Describe the clip you need: one fictional character, a short action, a vertical frame and a clean ending. If you need a particular tool or editable project, say why and include that in the deliverables.
A creator may offer AI character design, image-to-video production, editing, voice work or social content. Those are different jobs. Choose the part you need help with instead of assuming that one listing includes every stage of production.
Use five lines for the first draft
This is a starting point, not a complete contract. Add exact duration, dimensions, audio requirements and delivery dates when you agree the scope. If the clip needs captions, a particular soundtrack or source files, name them explicitly.
Attach only material you have permission to share. Tell the creator which details are fixed and where they can use their judgment. A reference is much more useful when the brief explains whether it controls identity, clothing, motion or visual style.
Result: one short vertical clip of my fictional courier noticing a delivery. References: approved portrait and full-body sheet; keep the glasses and outfit. Delivery: one finished MP4, with the exact duration and resolution agreed before work. Deadline: an agreed calendar date and timezone. Revisions: one round for agreed character or action corrections; new scenes quoted separately.
Agree how you will review the work
Turn “good quality” into a few observable checks. Does the character match the reference? Is the action understandable? Is the delivery the agreed format? Can the clip end cleanly? These questions make feedback easier to act on.
Keep changes tied to the agreed brief. A new character, extra scene or different concept can be a new job rather than a correction. Ask about revision limits before work starts so both people know what the quoted scope includes.
- Reference match
- Agreed action and scene
- Correct duration and frame shape
- Required audio or captions
- Usable final file and agreed source files
Where LLC Gigs fits
LLC Gigs is the platform’s public creative work board. Verified LLC NFT holders can publish service or hiring posts. Browsing is public, and authenticated customers can request offering gigs without owning an NFT.
Payment and escrow availability are shown by the service. An agreed brief or visible listing does not mean deposits are open. Review the actual order, currency, deadline and payment status before any wallet approval. The full free Creator Kit includes a more detailed gig-brief template when you need it.
Common questions
Do I need an NFT to hire through LLC Gigs?
No NFT is required for a customer to request an offering gig after wallet sign-in. Publishing a service or hiring post requires verified LLC NFT membership. Payment availability is separate.
Does this free guide include AI video generation credits?
No. It explains how to scope the work. Third-party tool costs and any creator’s fee must be agreed separately.
